Who we are today

Liquid SPACES promotes emerging artists by sponsoring professional, high-energy shows in gallery settings. A committee of working artists and professionals reviews artists' submissions, and selects visual art, music, performance art and culinary art for exhibition based on its overall quality and innovative character (its commercial potential not withstanding). We help exhibiting artists to develop professionally, preparing them for representation (galleries, recording labels, etc.), awards and competitions. We publicize shows widely through mailings to our membership, the media and the arts community, as well as through press releases sent to critics, editors and arts writers. Exhibiting artists participate fully in the selection, installation and presentation of work, and the development of related programming and community outreach. Our website also continually shows and advertises the work of artists who have participated in our events.

Our vision

Liquid SPACES is cultivating a network of exhibition spaces, to expose artists to a broader audience and to create opportunities for exhibition beyond our organized events. Also, Liquid SPACES functions raise funds for other shows and for permanent studio/gallery space in San Francisco, to be rented to artists affordably as individual studio spaces and to provide permanent gallery space for exhibition. We will sponsor artists in the development and launching of individual websites, as well. This step facilitates the maturation of each artist's portfolio and is an important marketing tool.
